In March 2021 Jaslar Pearl was lucky enough to present his volume 2 collection via runway for Melbourne Fashion Festival. The collection revolves around sustainable alternatives with organic cotton jerseys & fleeces, along with rpet fabrics made of 100% recycled plastics. 

A couple of weeks ago we were lucky enough to interview Shawn Lee Jr, a young professional athlete with hopes of playing in the NBA. You may have seen him featured through our socials as he has been a collaborator with us for some time, you might have also heard the name from the JBA(Junior Basketball Association) or seen him on "Ball in the family". 

Who was your favourite hooper growing up?

My favorite hooper growing up was most definitely either Kobe or Jordan.

When did you decide you want to be a pro athlete?

I decided I wanted to become a pro athlete when I played started playing ive always been working towards that goal and I’ve always tried to live and become a pro athlete before I really even became one.

What did you find yourself spending most of your time doing in quarantine?

During the quarantine for the most of my time I worked out a lot , read a lot and wrote down goals I want to achieve and things that will help me continued to move forward

Do you have any on court rituals?

No I don’t have any on court rituals, I just come ready to play when I step in those lines and I don’t take anything for granted .

What was it like to play in the JBA?

It was fun playing in the JBA traveling and enjoying that experience but at the same time I knew I had bigger goals and that’s what my mind was on.

What’s it like chasing a dream of playing in the NBA?

It has been fun more than anything chasing a goal I set for myself to play in the NBA , it’s teaching me in always how to become a better man and handle my business and it’s a challenge for me to keep chasing and working hard.

What’s next for you?

What’s next for me? who knows as of now, I’ll either be overseas , in the league or G-league who know where my talents will take me I’m just working until something is presented to me

If you could play for any franchise which would it be and why?

I would play for any franchise that would take me and give me an opportunity to be comfortable and wants to win at all cost!

Would you think about bringing your talents down under and play in the NBL?

I would love to bring my talent to the NBL i feel like it would be a great environment and I have a lot of friends and fans out there already as well. I know I could bring alot of excitement to the NBL and whatever team I would end up on , I would come in and do it all on the defense and offensive end.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

Who knows , the future is unknown and that’s the beautiful thing about life , but I know I will be successful or I will still be working towards that.

If you weren’t playing basketball what would you be doing?

If I wasn’t playing basketball I would be involved in real estate or modeling and commercials , movies, stuff like that

Is there any advice you would give to kids who want to become pro athletes?

If it was any advice I could give to someone who wants to become a pro id say find a pro athlete that is really about there business and watch the things they do, there diets , workouts everything and work hard and set goals that your working for and don’t stop till you get where you want to be .

This was the first show that we had done. Held at Mo's Desert Clubhouse in Burleigh, Queensland. There was contributions and instalments from Queensland's best young artists and rap-centric musicians. In collaboration with Jaslar Pearl the event hosted our first Queensland pop up and the sale of our first collection. On November 17th, 2019 Jaslar Pearl held an exclusive event showcasing the debut collection, with a runway show displaying the different garments & accessories with different ways of styling. The event was the first opportunity for attendees to purchase before the world-wide release later in the month.
